About the Competition

In 2010, the International Piano Forum set itself the task of promoting pianists who have achieved an exceptional career in their musical development. To achieve these goals, the International Piano Forum has established the International German Piano Award, an internationally renowned piano competition among pianists, as an excellence prize for outstanding achievement. The International Piano Forum enthusiastically supports its prize winners on a sustained basis worldwide with numerous classical concerts.

The International German Piano Award is held annually at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.
