Gerald Mair

He is one of the very talented young Austrian conductors of his generation. Already at the age of 24, Gerald Mair was appointed as chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra Lienz with whom he performs regular subscription concerts every season with a wide-ranging repertoire.

Moreover, for several years Mair has also been involved with the opera festival in Gars am Kamp (Lower Austria) as an assistant of Johannes Wildner, for which his own founded orchestra Klangvereinigung Wien was the orchestra in residence. He pursues an in-depth study in conducting with Manfred Huss and has been a guest student of Christoph von Dohnányi several times.
